The Uepaa! Off-Net rescue app, including Automatic Accident Detection is now available beyond Switzerland: two months after launching this app it is now available for download in Germany, Austria, France and Italy. Roll-out into the UK, Scandinavia, Southern Europe is on the cards for 2014.
The Uepaa! app - crowned one of ISPO's BrandNew Winners - allows users to alarm for rescue from anywhere, even when there is NO NETWORK COVERAGE. If the victim is unable to press the alarm himself, ACCIDENT DETECTION automatically requests help from nearby - made possible by a Peer-to-Peer technology. Theproduct video explains how this works:
Within Switzerland there are already over 24,000 downloads and the user base growing by hundreds everyday. Having recently received the ISPO BRANDNEW AWARD - Europe’s leading sports industry award - as well as the United Nation’s World Summit Award, the app has long been recognized far beyond Switzerland.
