Companies for the first Swiss Venture Day in Lausanne are selected

Seven high-tech start-ups from Western Switzerland will pitch at the first Swiss Venture Day in Lausanne on 13 November.

CTI Invest has organised more than 40 Swiss Venture Days. Usually they are held at the SWX Swiss Exchange in Zurich. Nevertheless investors from the Romandie are often an important part of the audience and start-ups from western Switzerland are regularly pitching at these events. However at the next Swiss Venture Day the share of investors and entrepreneurs from the French speaking part will be definitely higher. The Venture Day will take place at PSE on 13 November. Datacenter Vision has developed a full-web innovative software solution for datacenter management. The software product has been designed for accurate and modern datacenter management: being its unique data model and relational model, or its superior architecture.

DomoSafety has developed a revolutionary healthcare system that assures the safety of the elderly at home. This solution analyses behavior patterns to detect irregularities and alert caregivers or emergency personnel in case of danger. With DomoSafety, the elderly can substantially postpone their entrance in retirement homes.

Genohm is a bioinformatics company delivering specialized products and services for biotechnology, life sciences, pharma and R&D labs. Core competences are SLims Suite (Lab Information Management Systems), professional open source and integration technologies: bio-informatics, integration & consulting services for biotech, R&D labs and life sciences.

Geosatis developed an electronic bracelet for monitoring of offenders. The innovative GPS technology locates the person to be monitored with high reliability and precision. The system is capable of registering or detecting virtually any radio attack as well as any attempt to remove or harm the electronic components of the system.

OsmoBlue will pitch a sustainable and profitable technology for recycling low-temperature waste heat. OsmoBlue’s patented technology converts low-temperature heat, as low as 30°C, into electricity. The system is scalable and can produce hundreds of kW to tens of MW of electricity.

Scientific Visual provides innovative optical liquids for quality control in gems and crystals. The fluids allow you to ‘look’ inside and precisely locate internal defects in industrial and jewellery gemstones before processing, which reduce waste, improve quality and increase the profitability of gem cutters.
