Gamaya, Valour and Genomsys have each appointed a new chief executive officer to drive them through the next phase of growth. Involi and Sophia Genetics have also made leadership changes at the C-level.

Gamaya, a leader in remote sensing for agriculture, has appointed Igor Ivanov as its new CEO, succeeding Mathieu Hagen, who joined in February 2020 with the mission to transform the company and prepare it for growth. Ivanov previously held the position of CFO and co-founder at Gamaya. In his new role, he will lead Gamaya through the next phase, which is to execute the company’s new strategic plan and drive growth and value for the company. His long experience with the company, and high familiarity with the Agtech ‘eco-system’ will serve him well in his new role, and ensure a minimum of disruption during the change of leadership.

Ex-HSBC executive joins Valour

Since November, digital assets startup Valour has been under the leadership of Diana Biggs, the former global head of innovation at HSBC, one ofe the world's largest banks. Before joining HSBC in 2017 as head of business model innovation for the UK and Europe she held various executive positions at different organisations including Anthemis Group, Uphold Inc. among others. As an early proponent of financial innovations, Biggs brings expertise in emerging technologies together with leadership experience across financial services and fintech. 

Valour is a digital assets startup offering institutional-grade, exchange-traded financial products (ETPs) that enable investment in disruptive innovations, such as digital assets, in a simple and secure way. In December, the company launched the world’s first fee-free ETP, Bitcoin Zero, which trades on the NGM stock exchange. Valour is now just shy of $30m in assets under management (AUM). Over the coming months, Valour will roll out several additional innovative ETPs across multiple European exchanges. In her new role, Biggs will lead the company’s expansion, following the recent launch of Bitcoin Zero.

Genomsys welcomes new CEO 
Genomsys is a Swiss health technology software company that develops secure, clinical-grade, solutions bringing personalized medicine to everyday life. The company has appointed  Alessio Ascari, visionary entrepreneur in digital health and for over 20 years management consultant at a global level, as its CEO to accelerate the implementation of the vision to enable personalised medicine for everyone. 

Sophia Genetics continues to expand its team with CFO 
Sophia Genetics, a global leader in Data-Driven Medicine, has appointed Ross Muken as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Muken brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience with a strong focus on medical technology and life sciences space. He joins the SOPHiA GENETICS team from Click Therapeutics where he served as CFO and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Involi wins drone technology expert as CTO
After eight years at Sensefly and over ten years of experience in the drones industry, Raphael Zaugg has joined Involi as Chief Technology Officer. Involi offers low-altitude air traffic data for secure integration of unmanned aerial vehicles into existing air traffic. The technology makes air traffic data openly accessible and makes the flying objects in the sky safer and more efficient. With Raphael, the company has brought an experienced team member with a strong background and skills to complement its dynamic technical team.
