BKW is looking for start-ups with smart energy solutions

BKW and venturelab have published a Call for Startups. BKW is looking for companies active in the energy sector. Up to five start-ups will be selected for collaboration projects.

The Bernese utility company BKW is working together with start-ups for quite a while. Its “Level-up” initiative offers various platforms and interfaces that can be used to solve current and future business issues. This week BKW and its partner venturelab have published a “Call for Startups”. BKW is looking for companies providing innovative solutions for new products and services in the connected home and building: energy management, automation and digitalization – for customers and grid.

Start-ups should be in an advanced stage and should be able to work on the development of products or services. Up to 5 startups will be selected to pitch in front of the BKW management and industry experts with the goal to set up a partnership. Several types of cooperations are possible ranging from setting up a pilot project and developing a proof of concept to selling a solution to BKW. Startups will be financially supported during development projects. In addition BKW has to offer access to markets and customer as well as its infrastructure.

Interested startups can apply now on the venturelab website. Deadline is 26 October.
