The Arcondis Foundation has announced that it will be awarding a CHF 50,000 grant to an innovative life sciences start-up dedicated to creating positive social impact. The application phase is open until 15 May.

Arcondis is a global consulting and service provider with an exclusive focus on the healthcare and life science industries. Based in Switzerland with offices worldwide, the Arcondis Group is owned by the Arcondis Foundation that was established in 2017 with the main objective of ensuring sustainable employment in the Arcondis Group as well as supporting social responsibility projects. The Foundation ownership model enables Arcondis to focus on its purpose of making healthcare better and improving people’s lives through its work, rather than being driven solely by profits.

In accordance with its mission, the foundation has launched the Arcondis Social Impact Grant to identify and fund an innovative life sciences startup project focused on improving healthcare and people’s lives.

The selection process follows four steps. Following the application deadline, a nominated task force will assess all applications to select the top 10 startups. These will present their solutions to the committee, which includes the foundation board, industry leaders, Simon Ulrich as the Global Industry Lead Scale-Ups, and the CEO, to secure a spot in the top three. Subsequently, all Arcondis employees and stakeholders will participate in the voting process to choose the most outstanding company and winner of the CHF 50’000 prize.

Interested parties can submit their applications until 15 May 2023 using this link. The criterion for selection includes several key factors: alignment with the core values of Arcondis; a well-defined and impactful mission and vision aimed at tackling significant societal challenges; a detailed plan outlining how the grant funds will be utilized; evidence of the scalability of the solution to amplify its social impact and a comprehensive understanding of the start-up’s competitive positioning within the relevant market landscape.
