Noonee Launches Chairless Chair at Hannover Expo

The team of noonee officially announced the start of series production and the sales launch of the Chairless Chair at the Hannover Expo. Noonee could already present its innovation to the German Minister of Education and Research Johanna Wanka.

The Chairless Chair is a flexible wearable ergonomic sitting support. The main application is for the manufacturing companies, where workers are required to stand for long period of time and traditional sitting methods are not suitable, representing an obstacles in the work area. With the Chairless Chair the users walk together with the sitting support while wearing it, without obstructing the work space, at the same time avoiding strenuous postures such as bending, squatting or crouching.

Tests with Audi, BMW and Renault
During the development process, noonee worked closely with the employees from Audi, Seat, Skoda, Daimler, BMW and Renault among others, to tailor the Chairless Chair to the needs of the end-users and the dynamic environment of production lines. This, not only lead to a superior product, but also to the broad experience of the noonee team in implementing such ergonomic innovations at well established companies.

With the Chairless Chair noonee’s clients can not only improve the ergonomic environment for their employees, by improving body posture, but also solve and prevent certain Occupational Health & Safety challenges and provide age appropriate working conditions for their ageing employees.

The Chairless Chair was nominated among Top 5 innovation for the Hermes Award. As a nominee of the award noonee had the opportunity to present its innovation to the German Minister of Education and Research Johanna Wanka.

New office in Germany
Noonee AG is a Swiss based exoskeleton company, was founded in 2014 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) by Keith Gunura (CEO) and Olga Motovilova (COO). The company's vision is to become leaders in wearable ergonomic mechatronic devices to improve the working environment, assist industrial workers in their daily tasks and improve their lifestyle.

The company opened a Germany office in Wernau (noonee Germany GmbH) and is currently looking for new team members for the Product Specialist team.
