REPIC

REPIC (Renewable Energy, Energy and Resource Efficiency Promotion in International Cooperation) is an interdepartmental platform to promote renewable energy, energy and resource efficiency in international cooperation. REPIC supports innovative, practice- and market-oriented projects by Swiss institutions including start-ups.

Two instruments are available: the REPIC Pilot instrument (grant of maximum CHF150k and a maximum 50% of the total budget for pilot projects), and the REPIC Rollout instrument as of September 2022 (grant of maximum CHF500k and maximum 50% of the total budget for projects). Detailed information about the REPIC Rollout instrument is available in this presentation.

Eligible are Swiss institutions that transfer knowledge and technology to developing and transition countries. The project must be in the field of renewable energies and/or energy efficiency and/or resource efficiency (waste, waste water and industrial processes).

  • Prerequisite for REPIC Pilot: The project must be in the pre-commercial phase (market-oriented pilot phase, concrete economic or technical proof of concept, no studies).
  • Prerequisite for REPIC Rollout: The project must be in an early commercial phase and has already successfully completed a prototype / pilot phase.

In addition to financial support REPIC offers coaching, consulting and an excellent network.
