The Venture Briefing event series is designed to help students with an intent to pursue entrepreneurship take their first steps towards building a successful company.

The event features a keynote by Priyanka Dutta-Passecker, CEO & Founder Healiva SA. Priyanka holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Trinity College Dublin and a dual executive MBA from WU Executive Academia and Carlson Business School, Minnesota, with 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.  

 
Healiva, based in Lugano, is a patient-centric Swiss Biotech company, delivering personalised therapy to improve patients’ quality of life. The company uses a multi-pronged approach to address patient needs by combining cell therapies, enzyme technology and medical devices to deliver tailored solutions for chronic wounds - with the potential to help 156 million patients worldwide, especially those with diabetis. Healiva is the first Biotech to offer multiple end-to-end, intuitive wound care products that can be personalised whilst remaining affordable. Healiva has been a winner of the Venture Leaders Biotech 2022, representing the Swiss National Startup Team in Boston, USA.
 
Priyanka founder, will talk about her startup and share details about the journey to building a successful company. She will also help answer some of your questions during the Q&A session:
  • How to become an entrepreneur? 
  • How to validate my idea?
  • How to fund my idea?
  • How to find help to bring my idea to life?
Note: to accommodate for the different lunch break times at USI and SUPSI, the first 15 minutes intro will be repeated at the end
 
You will also be introduced to different support programs available to new entrepreneurs:
  • Venture Kick (up to CHF 150,000 pre-seed capital for business development)
  • InnoBooster (up to CHF 150,000 grant to accelerate market entry)
  • First Ventures (up to CHF 150,000 financial support and tailored coaching program for University of Applied Science students)
