The FemTechnology Summit brings together top FemTech startups, researchers + chief clinicians to discuss cutting-edge innovation happening in women's healthcare. Discover the link between Gender + Effective Therapy in Medicine and prepare to be inspired about what the future holds.

The Summit will be divided into four panels: On June 1st:

Tracking to bridge the data gap: The gender data gap is a deadly one. Discover innovative ways companies are collecting gender specific medical data to close the gap and better understand female specific metrics through menstrual patterns, remote neonatal monitoring, and analysis of saliva for contraception and fertility.

PCOS x Endometriosis x Fertility:  PCOS is estimated to affect between 4-20% of women of reproductive age worldwide. However, the variability in symptoms and how they present in different people means that up to 75% of women with PCOS do not receive a diagnosis for their condition. This is significant because PCOS is linked to other serious health conditions, such as metabolic and cardiovascular comorbidities, infertility, pregnancy complications, psychological disorders, and cancer. Endometriosis is an equally big problem (as big as Diabetes except for every 200 dollars spent on Diabetes, Endometriosis gets one dollar). Both PCOS and Endometriosis are the leading causes of infertility in women – we will be exploring the link between these two diseases and women’s fertility and the implications for women’s health down the line.

On June 2nd:

The Link Between Gender and Effective Therapy in Medicine: 70% of people impacted by chronic pain are women. Women have a fifty per cent higher chance than men of receiving the wrong initial diagnosis following a heart attack. There are sex differences in every single cell in the human body. This Roundtable will explore how those differences influence the way diseases manifest between the genders and how they should influence the way we can diagnose and deliver treatment effectively.

The Future of  Care : Women's Health is undergoing a transformation when it comes to how we deliver care (the emergence of care advocates, holistic care models for fertility, personalized care plans for gynecological diseases), when it comes to who we consider as being responsible for care (the caregiving economy and all its burdens)
