Zurich-San Francisco Health Tech Summit with Top-Class Speakers

"Open Health: The Citizen's Revolution," will bring together leaders of the digital health sector from Zurich and San Francisco on June 4, 2013 at swissnex San Francisco. Speakers will include: Roni Zeiger MD, former Chief Health Strategist for Google, Felix Frueh, Entrepreneur-in-Residence with Third Rock Ventures, and Ernst Hafen PhD, ETH Professor. Zurich Mayor Corine Mauch will welcome participants.

“Open Health: The Citizen’s Revolution,” will explore the citizen’s essential role in shaping new health services, products and business models – at the intersections of health, digital technology, devices and data. The event will be a forum to discuss emerging trends and deepen collaboration opportunities among entrepreneurs, investors, university researchers and other thought leaders from the San Francisco and Zurich areas.

The event is hosted by the City of Zurich, in partnership with Life Science Zurich Business Network, the San Francisco Zurich Sister City Committee, the Canton of Zurich, and RollSpeed. It is part of a week-long program celebrating the 10-year Jubilee of the San Francisco Zurich sister city relationship.

  • Michael Dillhyon, CEO, Health Bank, Zurich area serial entrepreneur and investor – Host and Moderator
  • Roni Zeiger, MD, Co-Founder/CEO of Smart Patients, former Chief Health Strategist for Google – Keynote Speaker
  • Felix Frueh, PhD, Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Third Rock Ventures, former Associate Director of Genomics of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration 
  • Ernst Hafen, PhD – Chief Scientific Officer, Health Bank, Professor of Systems Genetics at ETH Zurich
