Next Sunday the first Swiss “Women’s Expo” will be staged at Kongresshaus Zürich. It is an event to celebrate, promote and showcase woman entrepreneurs in Switzerland.

«It`s not about competition, it`s about collaboration», claims Zimbabwe born and raised Lisa Mundembe-Chuma (28). She is launching the first «Women`s Expo» in Zurich on May 26th 2013, a business fair and networking event for Swiss and international business women to celebrate women`s entrepreneurship in Switzerland.

For many women, especially Mums, says Lisa, building their own business gives them the freedom to do what they love while at the same time keeping flexible work hours so they can take care of their families. But it also means late nights and financial uncertainty to deal with. In addition, many successful woman entrepreneurs are not comfortable with marketing themselves and their ideas. The «Women`s Expo» aims to create an open, un-intimidating environment to network, to find encouragement and to learn from each other.

Lisa Chuma is a solopreneur and a mother of two. When her husband accepted a job in Zug and moved the family there from London, Lisa started a «Mumpreneur in Switzerland» network and business directory for women in business throughout Switzerland.

Entrance to the «Women`s Expo» is free and open to all. Exhibitors are female owners of small to medium-sized businesses from different industries all over Switzerland, ranging from fashion and beauty to interior design, nutrition, coaching and teaching.
