Following their first kick-off event in Zurich, >>venture>> startup competition is now officially launched. Young entrepreneurs with an innovative business idea and business plan are invited to submit their application. The winner will receive a cash prize and support.
>>venture>> start-up competition supports young entrepreneurs on their journey to founding a company. The competition is organised in two categories: In the business idea competition, participants develop and submit a business idea in the form of an Executive Summary, which focuses on customer benefit and on the market. The idea must fulfil a customer need, is innovative, unique, has a clear focus, and is profitable in the long term.
In the business plan competition, participants prepare and submit their business plans. To enter this track, applicants need to submit a systematically structured business plan of 20 to 30 pages before the competition deadline of 12.04.2018.
Applicants can only register for one of the awards, but not both. Eligible to apply are individuals or teams that are domiciled in Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein and are at least 18 years of age. For teams, one of the members must fulfil these requirements. Additionally, the company must be founded in Switzerland and is not be older than two years.
The most outstanding candidate from each category be invited to pitch before the audience at the award ceremony. The winners will be awarded a cash prize and expert support in form of mentoring, coaching, training, connections, recognition. Winners in the second to fifth rank will also be recognised.
Individuals who are interested in the competition are invited attend the Kick-off event on 7 February in Lausanne. The >>venture>> team will provide further insights on the program as well as answer any questions from the audience.
