Swisstech Pavilion at Viva Technology

At the 8th edition of Viva Technology, Europe's largest tech event, which will take place from 22 to 25 May 2024 in Paris and online, 23 Swiss startups will present their innovations in the Swisstech Pavilion. The selected startups are developing solutions in the fields of sport, cleantech, digital health, medtech, AI and robotics. 

The annual Viva Technology event connects startups, technology leaders, large companies and investors to find answers to the world's biggest challenges. With its seven editions, the event has become a powerful global catalyst for digital transformation and the growth of startups. In the context of the Swisstech campaign, Presence Switzerland has organized a Swiss Pavilion together with the Embassy of Switzerland in France and in collaboration with Switzerland Global Enterprise and Innosuisse.

The Swisstech pavilion showcases Switzerland's diverse innovations and offers visitors the opportunity to discover a range of transformative technologies and exchange ideas with the Swiss delegation comprising 30 exhibitors. With a focus on the sportstech, the Swisstech pavilion will host 8 startups whose solutions address the issues and needs related to the sports sector, including accessibility, inclusiveness, sports performance.  Other attending startups offer solutions in the fields of cleantech, robotics, digital health, medical technology, AI and more. The startup teams will participate in person, and pitch to industry experts and investors on the swisstech stage. 14 of the exhibiting startups at the pavilion are supported by Innosuisse.

Sportstech startups include: 

BoxUp: developed a mobile application that facilitates sharing sports and leisure equipment. 

Myjoint: developed a technology that accurately assesses the risk of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in the knee and offers personalized recommendations considering everything from biomechanics to sleep. 

SAIVA (Sports AI Virtual Assistant): offers an AI and VR analysis software of football games with features including pre- and post-match analysis, immersive VR training modules, and an AI-powered coaching assistant. 

SP80: designed an ultra-innovative boat propelled by a kite and has set an ambitious objective: breaking the world sailing speed record and reaching 150km/h solely powered by the wind. 

Street Racket: offers an highly flexible and inclusive Swiss movement game. It is easy to learn, applicable without infrastructure and with over 1,000 forms of play for all ages and levels.

Onward: developed the ARC-IM System, an investigational medical technology designed to deliver targeted, personalized spinal cord stimulation to restore function and movement after spinal cord injury (SCI). 

Startups supported by Innosuisse are:  

AgroSustain: develops and commercialises a natural coating that helps to preserve the quality of fresh fruits and vegetables and cut flowers. 

Avatronics: developed an AI-enriched, embedded wideband digital Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) solution that eliminates noise in the transportation, industrial, and consumer electronics industries.

Beekee: The Beekee Box – can-sized computer - represents a pocket-sized digital classroom, empowering educators to deliver dynamic lessons anywhere - no internet needed. 

csky.ai: developed a unique smart assistant designed to process and enhance confidential conversations without sacrificing privacy. 

droople: provides an easy-to-use all-in-one solution for IoT water monitoring, featuring low-power sensors and an AI-driven Cloud platform, offering analytics, forecasting, dashboards, and actionable insights.

Elysium Lab: is building a Wallet for Digital Assets and Bitcoin, focusing on Assets Management and Payments. 

egonym: leverages proprietary Generative AI technology to anonymize people’s identities in visual media (images and videos) by replacing original facial identities with synthetically generated random ones. 

Global ID: allows customers to authenticate and protect the identity of persons with private, traceless biometrics using their patented multi-view finger-vein biometrics. 

nuvolos (Alphacruncher AG): offers a cloud workspace that allows easy data handling and computation of any size and type. It allows users to collaborate on projects and organize their work effectively.

perivision: combines artificial intelligence, virtual reality and cloud computing to reimagine how doctors test and understand vision. 

Rapidata: offers a platform to gather hundreds of thousands of real human opinions in minutes at low cost. 

V-Labs: offers a unique Augmented Reality solution for AR-glasses that can visualize, modify and acquire geospatial data (GIS, BIM) with cm accuracy in the field. 

zoundream: developed an AI solution using machine learning and sound recognition which can detect, analyze and translate baby cries in real time. 

ZuriMED: developed a Surgical-Fiberlock technology that functions like a surgical “sewing” machine, mechanically “interlocking” medical patch fibers into soft tissue.

bloomUp: developed an advanced online platform leveraging Microsoft Power BI technology for seamless management and visualisation of sustainability data. 

Sharekey: developed a Swiss Collaboration app, private and eco-friendly, that secures Business Privacy. 

Technis: offers an all-encompassing solution for effective management and optimization of spaces with its core product, Technis OS.
