Swissnex China collaborates with leading Chinese incubator

TusPark is located at the core area of Zhongguancun Science Park in Beijing, where a great number of reputable institutions of higher learning and academies are based. The project of building TusPark，put forward by Tsinghua University in 1993, was confirmed and approved by the Ministry of Education and Beijing government in the same year. TusPark enjoys large-scale infrastructure of Zhongguancun Science Park and a series of preferential policies. After more than twenty years of development, TusPark has attracted a bunch of high-tech enterprises, MNC and R&D centers. Meanwhile TusPark is ambitious to expand and set up branches across China by leveraging the local resources and provide incubation service. As of today, it has more than 30 branches all around China.

TusPark Ventures was founded in March 2001 and now manages over 150 M USD capital and assets which focus on early-stage, hi-tech investment. By leveraging TusPark’s first-class incubation facilities and resources, “ VC+ Incubation” has been developed by TusPark Ventures as best practice model in China. Over the past ten years, TusPark Ventures has invested in over 40 portfolio companies which covers TMT, Biotech, Cleantech and other industry sectors. Some have been listed either in Nasdaq or local stock exchange and realized considerable financial returns to the investors.

Soft landing services for Swiss start-ups
During VentureLeaders trip in Beijing, swissnex China has set up liaison with TusPark and discuss the collaborative opportunities in between.  On Nov 20^th 2014, under the witness of Mr. Mauro Moruzzi‎, from SERI, Dr. Martin Muller from CTI and other senior experts and officials from two sides, swissnex and TusPark signed the Memorandum of Understanding to set up the collaboration platform at TusPark incubator and provide soft-landing services for start-up entrepreneurs, for example TusPark will help incoming Swiss visitors to connect with local community, arrange temporary desk or space for Swiss entrepreneurs who want to explore Chinese tech market. TusPark will serve as a bridge for Swiss and Chinese tech people (entrepreneurs and academics) who are interested in business match making. On the other hand, swissnex will introduce Swiss visiting innovation guests to TusPark and provide contacts and information given TusPark wishes to carry out more international network.
