Robotics startup AnyBotics has won two partners to expand its presence in the Middle East and Japan. While Tech5 supports the Ethiopian government in implementing a digital ID, Vivor is working with GameSquare to promote healthy gaming habits. A new partnership between RetinAI and America’s largest retina care further cements the startup’ss presence in the U.S.

ANYbotics’ advanced four-legged mobile robots perform autonomous inspections, asset monitoring, and anomaly detection in complex industrial environments. As the world’s only Ex-certified legged robotic solution, ANYmal X combines the performance of ANYmal with Ex-certification and is the only scalable autonomous legged inspection solution for safe use in hazardous and potentially explosive atmospheres.

The startup’s global presence has been growing with the addition of new reseller partners such as Sigma Enterprises for the UAE. Sigma Enterprises, part of the privately-held diversified holding company Mazrui International, will increase inspection robot deployment in the region’s oil & gas, power, chemicals, metals, and transportation sectors, as well as support services, customer training, and technical expertise. In Japan, the company works with Tokyo-based company Nihon Binary to offer ANYmal as a direct purchase or Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) solution and provide first-level support services, customer training, and technical expertise.

Tech5 supports Ethiopia’s digital ID. project
As part of the country’s flagship digital I.D. project, “Fayda”, Ethiopia has launched the first initiative aiming to onboard all customers in the financial sector onto a robust digital I.D. platform. The initiative seeks to create a more secure and inclusive financial ecosystem for all parties involved. The digital I.D. will be a “primary Bank ID” and will be legally accepted across all financial institutions. In partnership with the World Bank’s Identification for Development (ID4D) program, the project aims to issue I.D.s to both citizens and residents of Ethiopia. While in a trial phase, Fayda has so far enrolled at least 20,000 citizens. Geneva-based biometrics specialist TECH5 is involved in the project, with citizens being asked to provide fingerprint, iris, and face scans. The startup provides inclusive biometric and digital I.D. offerings by applying Al and Machine Learning technologies.

Vivior gets support from
GameSquare Holdings, a vertically integrated, international digital media, entertainment and technology company with an audience of over 290 million followers, has entered a multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership with Swiss vision care startup Vivior to promote healthy digital habits for the gaming industry. Through content creation, product development, and competition, GameSquare and Vivior will raise awareness for how digital eye strain (DES), poor light exposure, bad posture, and more can impact gamers’ long-term health, wellness, and performance. Vivior will work closely with GameSquare and its subsidiaries, Complexity Gaming and the recently launched innovation hub, Ninja Labs. As part of the multifaceted deal, ZONED Gaming, a GameSquare company based in Los Angeles, will also serve as Vivior’s marketing agency of record and will advise the company on its go-to-market strategy and product launch.

Vivior will collaborate with GameSquare Chief Innovation Officer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Ninja Labs to develop and launch a health and wellness platform. The first-of-its-kind rewards program will introduce a gamified experience to incentivize healthy habits through giveaways, such as in-game XP’s, drops, skins, and real-life rewards and prizes. As part of their commitment to DES prevention, the pair will also look to jointly develop new products that address gamers’ most common pain points, including vision, screen time, posture, and blue light exposure.

Stronger presence in the US
RetinAI Medical AG, a leader in clinical and imaging data management software and advanced analytics using artificial intelligence (A.I.) has entered a strategic partnership with Retina Consultants of America (RCA), the largest retina care provider in the U.S. with more than 1.7M annual patient visits and over 200 locations in the U.S. The partnership combines RetinAI’s innovative digital health technologies and RCA’s robust network of clinics to analyze real-world health clinical and imaging data to develop the most extensive and AI-insight-driven Real World Evidence (RWE) U.S.-based database in Ophthalmology. This will offer healthcare stakeholders an unparalleled opportunity to gain insights into drug efficacy, improve drug development processes, and enhance patient care. The RWE will be launched in Q4 2023. This success comes ten months after the startup established its presence in the U.S., indicating its enduring devotion to transforming the ophthalmology market in the U.S.
