BizSpark Snow-up is a co-working project for start-ups taking place in Ftan in January. Start-ups can share their knowledge and experience and work together with the BizSpark developer team. The spots in the programme are much sought after.

For the first time Microsoft invites start-ups in the BizSpark programme to a co-working project in the Swiss Alps. The set up is just like in a co-working space, except that participants also get to sleep and eat on location. Start-ups will drive product development and have the chance to talk to and work with other companies and with the BizSpark development team. “During the week there is much more room for exchange than during the usual meetings”, explains Vera Biel, Audience & Startup Marketing Manager at Microsoft Switzerland.

BizSpark is sponsoring 50 spots for Snow-up. The full week costs CHF 100 per participant, the half week CHF 75. This includes support from the BizSpark team, accommodation in twin room, full board and access to work spaces, hosting and all indoor sports facilities. Start-ups have to be already in the BizSpark programme to join the week. BizSpark companies that want to take part or other start-ups that want to join the BizSpark programme should contact Vera Biehl as soon as possible. The demand is high. For some parts of the week there is already a waiting list.

More information can be found on the BizSpark Snow-up website.

Microsoft BizSpark is a program created to connect start-up developers and founders with entrepreneurial and technology resources. It gives start-ups access to Microsoft software development tools and training, connects them with key industry players, including potential customers and investors, and provides marketing visibility to help entrepreneurs with their early stage tech business. Since the launch of the program in 2008 around 1500 Swiss start-ups were supported by BizSpark and every year several Swiss start-ups are selected for the elite programme BizSpark Plus.

More information about BizSpark can be found in a blogpost and on a special Swiss website for the Bizspark program, available in German and French.
