Startups from different industries have recently received accolades of diverse sorts from different countries in recognition for their outstanding innovation. Each winner received an adequate prize to honour their accomplishments.

Dotphoton, Creative Destruction Lab Prime Stream
The Zurich based startup has been selected to join Creative Destruction Lab's (CDL) Prime stream 2019/2020 program in Toronto. The CDL is a seed-stage program for startups with deep-science and technology innovations. Dotphoton, with its patented technology, allows reducing the size of raw image files by up to 10 times and still preserve all image information, will benefit from the intensive objective-based mentorship program with support from exited startups, investors, and partners from leading venture capital firms.

Nanolive, World Mitochondria Society
During the 10th Targeting Mitochondria Congress in Berlin, Nanolive received the Innovation Prize of the World Mitochondria Society for ist  3D Cell Explorer, a holotomographic microscope for imaging key organelles supporting cellular metabolism such as mitochondria and lipid droplets. Thanks to its technology, it is for the first time possible to image mitochondria live and completely marker-free.

Rqmicro, FORUM Wasserhygiene Awards
The FORUM Wasserhygiene Awards has awarded rqmicro for its quick test for the quantification of Legionella.
The ETH Zurich spin-off develops products that are designed to provide fast, cost-effective and reliable solutions for various challenges of microbiological analysis. Its «Legionella pneumophila SG1» and the Legionella pneumophila kits present a revolutionary solution for Legionella analysis and thus open a new chapter in the field of pathogen detection and in the monitoring of water.

4th-IR, Swiss Tell Award
During the Swiss Tell Award ceremony 4th-IR was recognized and honoured by the government of Switzerland for its commitment to empowering innovators to transform their industry by making desktop AI solutions accessible, affordable and easy to use. With headquarters in Lucerne, 4th-IR has offices in NY, Vancouver, Ghana and Serbia. The Swiss Tell Award adds to the company's several accolades received during the last four months. It was selected for ASG Technologies Group's NVIDIA Inception Program for cutting-edge AI startups and has partnered with Apteryx Imaging Inc. to develop AI solutions for digital imaging in dentistry. David Dittenber, one of the four founders of 4th-IR received Entrepreneur of the Year in Michigan, USA and in June, Beth Mosier, COO was recognized with the Top 100 Healthcare Leaders Award by the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare.

Insphero, Sino-European Innovation Award
The startup developed 3D InSight™ Human Liver Disease Discovery Platform for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a breakthrough 3D cell technology for drug discovery and safety testing. The platform enables scalable in vitro drug efficacy assessment, screening, combinatorial testing as well as the study of complex NASH pathophysiology. During the Sino-European Innovation Week in Healthcare Technology (SEIWHT) meeting in China, Insphero presented how its 3D InSight™ platforms are advancing drug discovery and development as well as accelerating progress in finding cures not only for liver disease but also diabetes and cancer. This won the company second place in a session showcasing innovative technologies for the Chinese life science market. InSphero platforms will benefit Chinese researchers in academia and industry working at the forefront of complex disease drug discovery.
