The Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology CSEM and partners invite you to three important events in the coming weeks. The highlight is Swiss e-Print, the first Swiss conference on printed electronics and functional materials.

Upcoming CSEM events

E-printing is a key enabling technology that goes well beyond established paper printing. In recent years, new areas have matured and printing techniques have increasingly found a pathway from R&D to industrial manufacturing. These areas include not only organic and printed opto-electronics, but also micro-optical, bio-medical, MEMS fabrication and packaging, 3D rapid prototyping, flexible substrate and roll-to-roll technologies.

Switzerland already has many activities in the e-print field, and the Swiss e-Print conference will allow active professionals to identify potential complementary partnerships. This up and coming manufacturing discipline spans numerous fields, including tools, ink materials, surfaces, chemistry, physics, electronics and optics. The Swiss e-Print conference is co-organised by CSEM, FSRM and EPFL.

CSEM microTalk in Alpnach, 14 November 2011
This scientific event is organised by CSEM to promote microtechnology in Central Switzerland with the support of MCCS. Dr. Matthias Fenzl, study leader Swissrehamed, and Joeri Gredig, business development Swissrehamed, are invited to talk about "Medizinischer Nutzen der leistungsgeführten Wassertherapie". CSEM will be pleased to share with you some insights into the high-tech "made in Central Switzerland" label.

Annual meeting of the Biomedical Photonics Network in Neuchâtel, 30 November 2011
The field of biomedical photonics is currently booming with many new applications envisioned, particularly in experimental, diagnostic and therapeutic optical methods for medicine and biology. CSEM and BMNP are happy to invite you to Neuchâtel for the annual meeting of the Biomedical Photonics Network. This meeting will provide a great opportunity for the participants (young researchers are particularly welcome) to present their research and exchange views.
