About 400 participants are expected at CEO Day next Wednesday, 26 October, at the Stade de Suisse Berne. At the event founders will meet investors, business angels, potential industrial partners and representatives of funding and support organisations.

When not only founders of high-tech start-ups, but also seasoned business angels, renowned investors, representatives of globally active groups and employees from support organisations are present, CEO Day becomes practically a compulsory date. At no other start-up event is the transfer of knowledge as effective or networking so easy. No wonder, then, that up to 400 delegates have already registered, more than half of them CEOs of start-ups.

One of the highlights this year will be the CEOs on stage. For the first time CEO Day allows the participants to share their experiences with other CEOs. The focus is on financing issues, partnering and exiting. Present, among others, will be Bruno Oesch, founder of Prionics, Malcisbo and Neurotune, Myke Näf from Doodle, Alexander Ilic from Dacuda and Dominik Tarolli of Procedural. And, in addition, for the first time company founders who are looking for change can present their business projects to the representatives of banks, funds, associated companies and private investors in five-minute pitches.

The workshops are now called Best Practices, each lasting 90 minutes. The goal is to transfer knowledge and, more importantly, to have real cases sharing their experiences during the sessions. Professionals from the venture capital business and experienced coaches will show what the young CEOs need to do to ensure they finance their projects, unroll the markets for their products and manage their company's growth.

Highlight of the afternoon will be the one-to one meetings in which CEOs of start-ups can meet and exchange information with representatives from the scene and large corporations, both on site and separately. More than 400 such meetings have already been booked.

The organisers of CEO Day are CTI Invest, the Swiss venture platform, the Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI), and Euresearch, the Swiss guide to European research.
