Call for Applications for Web & Mobility Summit

    The European Tech Tour announced the 2011 Web & Mobility Summit will be held November 2-3, 2011 in London. The Tech Tour will pair the most promising early and later stage growth companies with representatives from leading cross-border venture capital and global corporate firms. The Funds that will be present at the Tour represent over €10 billion worth of investment capital.

     The 25 best high growth companies
    Companies from across Europe, including Russia and Israel with a focus on Web & Mobility, including gaming, changing media, E-commerce and E-Services, applications & widgets, payment & billing services, virtual goods, ad-serving online & mobile, mobile publishing and social networks can apply to become one of 25 finalists. Finalists will be chosen from a pool of over 250 applicants. Selected companies will not be charged to apply or present. The deadline for applications is September 1, 2011. Ken Olisa of Restoration Partners, whose technology career spans over 30 years, will serve as President of the 2011 Web & Mobility Summit. “There is a near perfect storm of opportunity, talent and funding on the horizon.”states Olisa, “The Summit is our opportunity to concentrate European minds to focus on these opportunities and amidst an environment of such high potential, forge relationships and even deals that will drive the direction of this market.”

    The selection committee will be headed up by Anil Hansjee, formally with Google and will include representatives from the top Venture Capital and Investors from the industry including GIMV, Finnvera and Hummingbird Ventures.

    Applicants can register for the Tour at http://www.techtour.com/Registration.htm . As part of the process applicants must submit a company profile, business plan and draft presentation together with the registration form.
