First Fintech Startup Weekend in Geneva

Startup Weekend is a 54 hour event that brings together designers, developers, entrepreneurs, and experts from all fields to transform their business ideas into a feasible business modal with the help of experts. Several opportunities await participants from all fields including the possibility to start a company, acquiring new knowledge and skills as well as meet their peers, with whom they may co-found a business. Industry leaders from the respective fields also address the teams to provide skills and knowledge that will shape them into becoming successful founders of thriving businesses.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model. Anyone is invited to pitch their idea and receive feedback from coaches and peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54-hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

Fintech at the forefront
Upnext is the Startup Weekend Fintech Geneva from Friday, October 7, 2016 at 6:00pm to Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:30pm at Fintech Fusion in Geneva. Coaches specialized in finance, IT and tech as well as influential entrepreneurs will share their experience and assist teams to tackle any challenges they may encounter during the 54 hours of business creation. At the end of the week-end, a panel of judges will identify the most promising product or service. Registration is now open.
