Last weekend the first Swiss open air Hackathon held its first edition of the Hack the city and Hack the TV in Chiasso. The winning teams from Hack the city, Marco Pertusini and Niklaus  Stocker were awarded a prize worth CHF 8’000. Masiar Babazadeh and Lisa Magnin also won a prize worth CHF 2’000.

The winning team of the Hack the City money prize (CHF 8’000) is Openlab Group whose members are Marco Pertusini and Niklaus Stocker.
During the 48 hours of the hackathon, Marco Pertusini and Niklaus Stocker from Openlab Group developed and built an original notification system that monitors mail delivery of a user’s post-box (presenting a real post-box during the pitch).
The whole jury agreed that this project has the potential to be further developed and become a future business.

The winning team of the Hack the TV (special RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera) money prize CHF 2000 is LMMB, whose members are Masiar Babazadeh and Lisa Magnin.
During the 48 hours they developed an interesting platform for real time interaction with the RSI tv contents. RSI’s representative Gionata Brunel agrees that this platform matches actual needs of the public television and has the potential to bring the audience and the media close together.

„All the attendees and the winners were happy and satisfied. The sponsors and partners even more, anticipating that there will be a 2nd edition in 2016 with even better (and richer) money prizes, more engagement and so on!” Ryan Vannin.
