After a successful pilot, the Microsoft's Swiss BizSpark team is organising another BizSpark Mountain Camp scheduled to take place from 13th to 16th June 2016 in Lugano, Ticino. Start-ups will be able to develop and accelerate their business ideas through training workshops, acquire advice and essential tips from experts as well as meet other tech start-ups they can relate with.

In January, Microsoft Switzerland organised the first co-working event “BizSpark Snow-up” in Engadin, an event for ICT start-ups to professionally develop their business ideas. At this event Swiss ICT start-ups worked together in a practice-oriented setting. They were exposed to several activities including training workshops, numerous free time activities in which they networked with their colleagues and experts. The outcome of the event was positive in that over 60 persons from 34 different start-ups participated.

The feedback from start-ups that were at Engadin reveals their euphoria and positive echo. These are some of the comments from start-ups: “Meeting great like-minded people, getting to learn new stuff from the Microsoft team, great feedback on the pitch of own idea, focusing on one’s idea exclusively for the whole week.” Another participant reports, “Having interesting discussions and bringing our business idea to an upper level enchanted me the most.”

Following the positive feedback from participants and the successful accomplishment of the first camp, the BizSpark’s team has scheduled another co-working event, this time in Ticino, from 13th to 16th June 2016. Participants will spend four days in Hotel Serpiano high above the Lake with a view over lake Lugano and towards Monte San Giorgio.

During the 4-days stay participants will work from the mountains, an ideal environment to accelerate their start-up. They will also work with various experts from Microsoft, attend training workshops, as receive advice in reference to their projects and expand their network through interaction with experts and other BizSpark tech oriented Start-ups facing similar challenges. Moreover, two technical “TechTalks” have been scheduled to enhance founders’ knowledge. One-to-one engagement will also be arranged for founders to get answers for their specific questions from any of the BizSpark team members.

The camp is limited to two persons per start-up and early registration is required because experience has shown that the event tickets are booked out quickly. Further details about the camp and venue are availablethe event Website.
