Huawei, a global leader in technology, has joined forces with Zurich based N-Dream to integrate AirConsole in the AppGallery. More than 550 million monthly active AppGallery users in 170+ countries and regions will access the cloud-gaming solution. AirConsole technology will allow AppGallery users to turn their smartphone into a gamepad.

AirConsole is a hybrid cloud-gaming solution designed by N-Dream, a Zurich based fast-growing start-up founded by ex-Googler and serial entrepreneur Andrin von Rechenberg. More than 7,000 developers worldwide have co-created more than 190 games published on AirConsole, which in turn have been consumed by more than 10 million players in more than 190 countries. To date, the AirConsole team has raised $ 7.4 million.

Global technology leader Huawei is jumping on the growing cloud gaming trend to further democratising games on television by integrating AirConsole in its AppGallery. This collaboration will allow Huawei users to enjoy console gaming by simply connecting their smartphones as controllers to their web browsers or TV screen.

AppGallery is a smart and innovative ecosystem that allows developers to create unique experiences for consumers. Being one of the top three app marketplaces globally, AppGallery is available globally in more than 170 countries and regions, with over 550 million monthly active users worldwide. Huawei partnered with 4.5 million developers across the globe, and in 2020 the total downloads from AppGallery have reached 384.4 billion times. By the end of June 2021, more than 141,000 applications are integrated with HMS Core worldwide. With millions of smartphone users worldwide, the partnership with Huawei’s AppGallery will make AirConsole even more accessible worldwide.

“Making AirConsole accessible to everyone is an important step towards the democratisation of games on television, and this partnership with the AppGallery is a further step towards this goal,” said Anthony Cliquot, COO of AirConsole, responsible for developing new strategic partnerships within the Swiss games company. “It’s never been easier for people who have a TV but don’t have a game console or controller to play games together. With AppGallery, we share a common vision of entertainment simplicity.
