Five Swiss startups with solutions in the nanotech, energy, ICT and medical sectors have impressed juries worldwide, winning themselves cash and honorary prizes.

The coveted CHF 10’000 award prize for the best nanotech startup at the Swiss Nano Convention went to Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare member XRnanotech, which won the “Best Start-up Award”. XRnanotech is a Swiss manufacturer of highest-quality X-ray optics, from high-aspect-ratio Fresnel zone plates with ten times better resolution, twice the photon efficiency and the best stability of state-of-the-art X-ray optics. The startup’s products allow investigating the smallest ever structures with unprecedented image quality.

Hive Power | Power2Drive AWARD
Swiss company Hive Power is one of the three winners of the first Power2Drive AWARD that was presented ahead of Smarter E Europe, Europe’s largest platform for the energy industry, and its four parallel exhibitions Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe held from June 14–16 at Messe München. Hive Power, founded in 2017, develops charging and export solutions for tomorrow's power grids. Its software-as-a-service platform, FLEXO Smart Charge offers advanced vehicle-to-grid capabilities, optimized charging and detailed cost-benefit overviews for EV fleet managers and OEMs. Via a user-friendly app, it keeps electric vehicle owners informed about their income while optimizing charging times and costs.

PriceHubble | AIFintech 100
FinTech Global, a specialized research platform focused on FinTech, has released the latest edition of the AiFinTech100 list, which highlights the world’s most innovative companies developing AI and machine learning technologies to solve challenges or improve the efficiency of financial services. Swiss startup PriceHubble is one of them. The B2B startup develops digital solutions based on real estate valuations and market insights for the real estate industry. It uses Big Data, advanced statistical analysis techniques and attractive visualization to enable clients to make real estate and investment decisions based on the most accurate data-driven insights (such as appraisals, market analysis, value forecasts, or construction simulations) and improve the dialogue with end consumers.

Latticeflow | CB Insights AI list
The AI 100 is an annual list of the 100 most promising private AI companies in the world compiled by CB Insights, a private company with a business analytics platform and global database that provides market intelligence on private companies and investor activities. This year Swiss startup Latticeflow made it to the list for the second time in a row. The startup built an AI platform for improving AI model performance and safety by automatically finding and fixing data and model errors.

Aseptuva |NIHR i4i FAST award
Shortly after entering the UK market, Aseptuva won one of the region’s awards – the NIHR i4i EAST award organized by the Department of Health and Social Care to improve the health and wealth of the nation through research. The startup received £31,000 and will leverage the opportunity to optimize its UK going-to-market process by letting 10 NHS hospitals evaluate its technology. Aseptuva uses in-situ UV-based disinfection technology to fight Hospital Acquired Infections.
