Six Swiss companies finalists of the Red Herring Award

Red Herring 100 Awards are widely recognized as one of the industry’s more prestigious recognitions, with up to 1,400 candidates from each continent competing each year. The finalists for Europe have been announced recently: Swiss finalists are: AVK Systems, Eqipia, Rightclearing.com, ROMO Wind, Run My Accounts and Sportradar.

The Red Herring 100 award highlights the exciting start-ups from Asia, Europe and the Americas. Hundreds of companies from each region are reviewed in a rigorous 3-step process that looks at all aspects of the company.
 
The finalists for the Red Herring Top 100 Europe Award 2013 were recently announced. Companies making the short-list are invited to the final phase of the award process, a live presentation at their respective regional Top 100 event.
 
The Swiss finalists:
AVK Systems, based in Lausanne, is a Swiss technology firm dedicated to taking the audio experience in compelling broadcast content such as sport to a new high. For over 3 years now, the company has been actively involved in the design & development of products and services for HD Sport Audio for audiences across TV, internet and Mobile platforms.
 
Equipa is a social recruiting platform that let employers show the team behind the job ad. The recruiter invites his employees to share their education, professional background etc. by synchronizing with Xing, Linkedin and Facebook. The applicant learns more about his future colleagues and can decide if he can imagine to work with them.
 
Rightclearing.com is a music licensing platform. The start-up has quietly developed an infrastructure that shows how music licensing will work in future. The highly complex system is simplified and labels, musicians and publishers as well as clients from the film, advertising and film industry or private users profit from it.
 
ROMO Wind is an innovative product, technology and service company in the wind power sector. The company can improve the output of wind farms by at least 2-8% mainly focusing on improving the wind turbine rotor function. ROMO Wind is a Swiss based company with teams located in Denmark, Germany and Spain.
 
Run My Accounts takes over the routine tasks of accounting like monitoring incoming payments, balancing bank accounts, sorting, filing etc. Customers of the start-up merely scan their statements and afterwards authorise payments in their e-banking system.
 
Sportradar provides sports data services to the bookmaking world with its brand Betradar, and to the international media industry with its brand Scoreradar. Besides market leading companies in the sports betting and media industry, Sportradar also operates a unique Fraud Detection System (FDS) for several federations.
