Recognizing Pokens leadership in the deployment of NFC solutions, Nokia partnered with the start-up from Lausanne to bring into the mainstream some of the benefits of Near Field Communication to our everyday lives. To achieve that, most NFC-enabled Nokia phones will come with the pokenMOBILE App pre-installed.

The term NFC may sound very technical, but the technology itself is very simple to understand and easy to use. It stands for Near Field Communication, a secure way to establish a high-speed wireless connection between two devices by simply touching them.

Nokia led the way back in 2006, creating the first mobile phone to use NFC. Now Poken announced that most NFC-enabled Nokia phones will come with the pokenMOBILE App pre-installed. People can use the app to create their social business card and instantly swop all their contact details and social network profiles with one simple touch.

It can also be used to collect rich media offline, such as digital discount vouchers, promotional coupons and multimedia information about products and shops. All that is displayed in real-time on the phone screen.

Acknowledging all the benefits the Poken application will bring to users, Nokia decided to feature the Poken app on all marketing collaterals for the launch of the new 701 phones in Turkey, including television ads, billboards, online banners, magazine and newspaper ads.

To support this major launch, Poken created a website in turkish with information about the products and business solutions, along with a promotional campaign to motivate people to invite their friends to download the pokenMOBILE app. Participants will get in a draw to win a Nokia Prize Package, that includes Nokia Play 360° NFC Speakers, Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-905 and Nokia Speakerphone HF-310.
