The new Eurostars-2 call is now open for applications. The cut-off deadline of the Eurostars-2 Programme’s second call will be September 11, 2014. The programme is very attractive for Swiss start-ups and not affected by the adoption of the initiative against mass immigration.

All the necessary information about the application process, including a list of countries participating in this call with a dedicated funding budget, can be found on the Eurostars website. After the call’s submission deadline, the electronic systems will close and submissions will not be accepted.

Eurostars provides funding for transnational innovation projects, the products of which are to be commercialised within two years.

Eurostars is a funding programme specially designed research-performing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) developing innovative products, processes and services. This is why the leading partner in a Eurostars project is an R&D SME: a company of less than 250 employees, dedicating an important part of its capital and workforce to R&D.

Eurostars is a transnational programme: to participate companies need to be based in a Eurostars country and have partners in their project from at least one or more Eurostars countries.

The Eurostars programme is publicly financed with a total public budget of €1.14 billion and is currently supported by 34 EUREKA countries and the European Union, as part of Horizon 2020. The Eurostars programme is not affected by the adoption of the initiative against mass immigration. Swiss start-ups can take part without any restriction.
