Investiere.ch announces that MEDUDEM successfully closed the first tranche of its Series A financing round of CHF 815’000. Besides numerous private investors through investiere.ch, new shareholder is Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB).

MEDUDEM, a start-up based in Zurich, brings together all relevant stakeholders in the health market. The company secures, facilitates and improves the way health information is shared. From content providers to health professionals all the way to the patients‘ home.

Thanks to MEDUDEM, health professionals, such as doctors, get efficient access to high quality health information and they can easily deliver it to a patient's account. Thus, the start-up catalyses the way health professionals and patients interact.

The health information is provided either by MEDUDEM or third parties (medical societies, patient organizations, health industrial companies and health insurances). Beyond that doctor’s offices/hospitals can integrate their own information in the system.

The MEDUDEM team consists of doctors and medicine journalists for the development of top class health information and of qualified personnel for quality assurance and for the contact to customers.

The start-up was founded in 2007. The service went online a year ago. At the end of 2011 MEDUDEM closed the first tranche of its financing round of CHF 815’000. Besides numerous private investors through investiere, new shareholder is Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB).

Investiere investors will have the opportunity to participate in a second tranche until the end of March 2012. This second tranche will be used to strengthen MEDUDEM's market activities and organization in Switzerland and Germany. A newly developed product called “Care Navigator” will leverage its sales and strengthen its position in the health environment.
