Innosuisse funded 45 Start-up innovation projects

Symbolic Picture Project Plan

Since the beginning of 2023 Innosuisse has been able to directly support innovation projects from start-ups before they go to market. Up to now 45 start-ups received funding – check the full list.

With the Start-up innovation project, Innosuisse directly funds high potential science-based projects initiated by Swiss start-ups, giving them a financial boost to propel their market entry. The innovation projects must be based on application-oriented research and prepare the start-ups for entering the market for the first time. In the case of these projects, only the start-up is supported. A research partner is not necessary. Furthermore, eligible companies must be headquartered in Switzerland, were established not more than 5 years ago and have less than 50 full-time equivalent employees.

Oxyle | 2020 | Schlieren - empowers companies and municipalities to fight PFAS contamination by permanently removing them from water

SmartHelio | 2019 | Lausanne – developed algorithms to enhance the sustainability and profitability of solar assets.

TOSA Swisstech | 2020 | Courroux (Jura) – developed conductive composites for energy storage batteries and fuel cells.

UniSieve | 2018 | Zurich – provides sieving membrane solutions for heavy emitting industries.

Deeplight | 2021 | Lausanne – produces Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs)-based lasers that can achieve with outstanding coherence properties and frequency agility.

Glucoloop | 2019 | Zurich – Nanosecond mid-infrared lasers enabling modification of materials with high water content at high precision and speed, and with minimum collateral damage.

irmos technologies | 2023 | Zurich – provides solutions to monitor the structural health of real structures such as buildings and bridges.

Lightium | 2023 | Zurich – platform for the next generation of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) with ultra-high speeds, low power consumption, and a range of new functionalities.

MeduSoil | 2018 | Lausanne – provides the construction industry with cement-free, low-carbon binders based on mineralization.

Seprify | 2022 | Marly (FR) – provides cellulose based functional material solutions such as its sustainable white pigment.

Rapidata | – developed a fast and reliable data labeling platform that allows for processing huge amounts of data with human intelligence and sentiment from specific regions within minutes.

ASTRA Therapeutics | 2019 | Villigen (AG) – develops therapies against Eukaryotic pathogens, which cause a range of infections in humans, animals and plants.

Avelo | 2020 | Zurich – develoeps a breath collector to detect multiple respiratory tract infections causing pneumonia.

Cellestia Biotech | 2015 | Basel | is developing novel therapeutics with new modes of action in autoimmune and multi-drug resistant cancers.

LifeMatrix Technologies | 2019 | Zurich – developed a bio-engineering technology platform to grow human replacement tissues in the laboratory.

Navignostics | 2022 | Zurich – characterizes tumors using spatial single-cell proteomics in oder to find a cancer treatment that will optimally fight each patient’s tumor.

NovaGo Therapeutics | 2015 | Schlieren – develops human antibody therapeutics targeting nerve growth and regeneration to enhance functional recovery following spinal cord injury
