CTI Start-up, part of the federal government’s Commission for Technology and Innovation CTI, has made public its completely redesigned and landscaped website. The new shop window for national start-up funding gives young companies a comprehensive overview of the support available, including a list of more than 160 organisations that are active in seed, early and later stage funding.

Now the new website of CTI Start-up is online! Greater transparency was one of the main concerns during the redesign process. A major focus is the brief portraits of all the 240 start-up companies that have been funded by CTI Start-up. The profiles of the individual start-ups can be retrieved, as well as addresses, contact people and the latest company news. The basic information is provided to Swiss Start-up Monitor and startupticker.ch.

The second important area is the presentation of the Swiss support network: CTI Start-up partners with centres for applied research, incubators, technoparks, technology transfer offices, universities and other support institutions, such as CTI Invest, CTI’s network of business angels, venture capitalists, venture clubs, and other private and institutional investors.

A document is also available on seed funding from Swiss foundations for technology start-ups. “It is meant as a quick reference guide for entrepreneurs in order to help identify the pertinent sources of seed funding for their venture companies,” it says.

The third sector covers a list and explanation of all services from CTI Start-up: from training at universities to CTI Start-up coaching and access to CTI Invest’s network of investors. Currently, a blog from Eugène Schön, the community manager and blogger in western Switzerland, is posted next to the start-up news and event calendar (powered by startupticker.ch).
