CHF50‘000 for five transmedia projects
The jury of « Call for Transmedia Projects » has selected five winners. Each of these projects receives a development grant and has the chance to win one of the production grants for a total amount of CHF 300'000.-.
Composed of Nuno Bernardo, Oriane Hurard, Mela Kocher and Christian Popp, the jury has selected 5 projects which mirrored the great diversity of the 93 submissions. The selected project are:
- At night, by Wiktoria Furrer and Rafael Freuler, Tatenträger GmbH (Zurich)
- IDNA, by Emilie Tappolet and Sylvain Joly, apelab studio (Geneva)
- Intopolitiks, by Antonia Beamish, Susanne Hofer and Dominique Margot (Zurich)
- Ma Vie de Courgette, by Salar Shahna, Rita Productions (Geneva)
- Life on Venus, by Géraldine Rod and Michael Mitchell, Cab productions (Lausanne)
Each of these projects receives a development grant of CHF 10’000.- and take part in a workshop organized by Focal, the Foundation for professional training in cinema and audiovisual media. In June, the Jury will assess again the projects and award the production grants for a total amount of CHF 300'000.-. The selected projects will also be showcased at Imaging the Future on Juli 8th and 9th.
The « Call for Transmedia Projects » is an initiative brought by the Swiss arts council Pro Helvetia and the Federal Office of Culture, and organized by the Solothurn Filmdays in collaboration with FOCAL.
