BookBedder online hotel booking platform successfully launched

Chosen to exhibit at the WebSummit in Dublin earlier this month, BookBedder officially launched its beta website to coincide with Europe's hottest technology conference.  BookBedder's collaborative community-based approach sets it apart from other online hotel booking sites, and OneLab is working closely with the hotel industry to offer travelers a more equitable way of booking a hotel.

Major online booking sites impose restrictive conditions and high commissions on hotels, which drives up the cost guests pay for their rooms.  BookBedder brings the community of guests and hotels together in a more efficient marketplace that doesn't spend excessive money on advertising; the savings on expensive marketing costs yields better profit margins for hotels and lower room rates for guests.

"The online hotel booking market is dominated by a few major players and could use a shakeup," says BookBedder CEO Skye Legon. "Many hotels are frustrated by their relationship today with online booking sites; BookBedder offers a more efficient alternative that keeps costs down by directly involving our community of hotels and members. BookBedder members can book today in over 300'000 hotels worldwide, and the team is actively contracting additional independent hotels to increase their total inventory.  In contrast with the public rates seen on major booking sites, BookBedder offers lower private prices which requires that the website be invitation-only.  During its beta phase BookBedder seeks user feedback and is offering free invitations to visitors on their website who don't yet have an invitation code.
