Imverse closes CHF1.5 million financing round

Imverse’s graphics software makes the creation of photorealistic 3D content 10 times faster and cheaper than current solutions. With the proceeds from the round, the start-up will double the size of the team and open an office in Los Angeles.

Porsche and Hyundai invest in Swiss startup WayRay

WayRay raised $80M in a Round C led by Porsche and joined by Hyundai Motor, JVCKENWOOD, and other investors. The funds will be used to bring holographic AR solutions to the automotive industry and beyond. . By the end of 2019, the company aims to become a unicorn with a $1 billion valuation.

VR startup Weavr acquired by Bitforge

Bitforge, the developer of in-house software for mobile devices has acquired Weavr, a Zurich based startup that developed a platform for curating VR stories based on user’s photos and videos. With the acquisition, Bitforge is now addressing the mass market.
