A typical challenge for start-ups is to find team members with a strong business background. At a new match making event 15 green start-ups can meet 45 pre-selected team candidates. The event is sponsored by Climate-KIC and WWF.

In Switzerland most start-ups are founded by people with a scientific background. For them team members with complementary skills are often hard to find. A new event addresses this problem. Match.Me.Up! is an interactive match-making event at which 15 hand-picked start-ups meet 45 pre-selected team candidates in a dynamic speed-dating format.

Every start-up gets 1min to pitch their venture in front of all candidates. The founders then have 12 individual speed-dating slots à 5min to meet interested candidates. After the program ends, entrepreneurs can meet the rest of the candidates in an informal networking apéro.

In addition every start-up can get a skill analysis, a 1:1 coaching session to determine what skills the company is missing to accelerate the venture and to identify innovative ways to recruit these skills.

Start-ups that want to apply have to work in the green innovation sector, should be founded in 2009 or later and should have less than 10 full-time employees.

The event takes place on October 11th, 2012 and is a joint initiative by HUB Zürich, Climate-KIC and WWF Switzerland. The sponsorship by Climate-KIC and WWF Switzerland enables participation costs of CHF 150 for start-ups and CHF 50 for team candidates. Application deadline is August 24th, 2012 for interested start-ups. More Information on the Website of Hub Zurich.
