Swiss startup Vamoz has developed a SaaS platform to enable companies looking for an easy and compliant way to manage remote work abroad for their employees, streamlining the entire process through its web-based application. With several hundred remote work trips already assessed and completed, Vamoz I now looking to expand in the DACH region. The awarded CHF 150,000 by Venture Kick, will support these plans.

In today's globally connected, post-pandemic landscape, remote work has emerged as the new norm. Highly sought after by talented professionals, it frequently serves as a crucial element in both recruitment and retention efforts. However, remote work also presents challenges due to legal complexities associated with taxation, social security, labor law, and potential strains on team cohesion and operational management.

Vamoz's SaaS solution empowers companies to facilitate remote work for their employees, streamlining the entire process through its web-based application. This platform evaluates legal and business risks while guiding users through each step of the operational process. Employees can easily submit requests, HR teams can make informed approval decisions, and line managers can maintain a comprehensive overview. The solution not only enhances employee satisfaction, talent acquisition, and retention but also boosts productivity. Moreover, it enables companies to establish and adhere to a customized remote work abroad policy, allowing for more effective workforce management and risk mitigation.

The user-friendly standalone solution was meticulously crafted by harnessing the collective expertise of legal professionals and in-house engineers. The platform is grounded in a scalable software architecture, streamlined data processing, and seamless automation of workflows.

Target customers are medium- to large-sized companies with a high degree of knowledge-workers and international operations. Beginning with Switzerland as an outbound country, the startup is ramping up and expanding into the DACH region. Pilot projects have been launched with Migros, Hotelplan, and Webrepublic. Several hundred remote work trips have already been successfully assessed and completed. The service obtainable market size for Vamoz in Switzerland among the key target industries is estimated to be over CHF 100 million.

The Vamoz team, which comprises Sophie Boyle, Daniel Dietrich, Johannes Pecher, and Isabelle Wildhaber, will allocate the CHF 150,000 investment towards refining the product and expanding the team, as well as pursuing sales and building long-term customer relationships.

“Our experience with Venture Kick has been transformative,” said the founders. “Their dedicated team and tailored approach have helped us fine-tune our business strategy, secure funding, and achieve unprecedented growth in such a short period of time. Their commitment to fostering innovation and nurturing the next generation of Swiss entrepreneurs has had a profound impact on our success over the past months.”
