Beekeeper platform

Beekeeper, a SaaS frontline employee platform for operational processes and internal communication, is today used by more than 150 companies worldwide. The fresh series C funds will enable the company to continue on its growth trajectory and expand its product package "Frontline Success System".

Frontline employees work without a fixed PC workstation, for example in production, retail, construction, hospitals, nursing, hotels and restaurants. Although more than 80 percent of all employees worldwide work on the frontline, digitization and technology development for these jobs are lagging behind.

Beekeeper supports companies and their employees through its mobile-enabled platform that allows organizations to automate paper-based processes, plan shifts, communicate with their employees in real-time from anywhere, and improve the engagement, productivity and security of frontline teams. Moreover, all employees have access to the documents, from safety-relevant information to the canteen's menu. Companies in more than 150 countries worldwide in the sectors of hospitality and retail, manufacturing and construction are already using the platform.

The Beekeeper team led by co-founder and CEO Cristian Grossmann has more than doubled its revenue since the corona pandemic began, and its team has grown to more than 200 people in Europe and the USA. The company was founded in 2012 as a spin-off of ETH Zurich.

The Series C financing brings Beekeeper 50 million dollars to support its growth and expand its Frontline Success System. the company plans to launch new applications such as an automated onboarding process, an internal recruitment referral tool, and a mobile security management solution.

EGS Beteiligungen AG and Kreos Capital joined the previous investors Energize, Thayer, Swisscanto, Keen Ventures, Alpana Ventures and Verve as new investors. The company’s total investment amounts to more than 100 million US dollars.

Franz Studer, Investment Director at EGS Beteiligungen says, “We are delighted to become part of this dynamic company. We have followed Beekeeper's development from an innovative tech start-up to a promising software developer with a healthy corporate culture and are convinced of their business model.”

Co-founder and CEO Cristian Grossmann concludes: “I am more excited about the work of the Beekeeper team than ever before. We are paving the way for employees on the frontline to be able to work even more successfully in the future. The distance between employers and their employees without a PC workstation is too great to ignore. We are revolutionizing frontline work. And the fact that we receive so much support from investors, customers and partners show us how important our mission has become. It underlines that the demand for technologies for frontline workplaces is greater than ever.”
