With a top lineup of experienced leaders, four deeptech Swiss startups are braced for the next phase. Virtamed’s new CFO is an IPO expert, Ava’s CTO is an entrepreneur and AI expert with over 15 years of experience, and Depsys new CFO and CTO has supported multiple startups before. The real estate crowdfunding platform has won Zurich based crypto self-made multi-millionaire Dadvan Yousuf as CEO.

VirtaMed Elisabet Lund | Chief Financial Officer
Zurich-based world leader in surgical simulation Virtamed employing over 100 people across its offices in Switzerland, Florida, USA, and Shanghai, China, has appointed Elizabet Lund as Chief Financial Officer. Lund is a former CFO for the Swedish vascular simulation company Mentice AB which she successfully helped list on the Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market in 2019. With more than two decades of experience in senior finance and leadership and familiarity with the rapidly growing medical education industry, Lund will support VirtaMed’s executive team through its next growth phase.

Depsys: Stéphane Hauguelas | Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer
Smart grid solutions provider Depsys developed GridEye, a versatile real-time control platform that allows power grid operators to design, operate, monitor, analyze, and automate any power distribution grid. With Stéphane Hauguelas as the new CFO, the startup has won an experienced member in its top management. Hauguel has recently worked in startups and scale-ups, assisting them with fundraising and advising them on their financial and operational development projects. He also brings many years of experience from large companies; he started his career at Bacardi-Martini France after graduating with an MBA from IPAG Business School Paris. In the following years, he was active in various positions and countries for SC Johnson before moving to the financial and fiduciary consulting firm Vistra in 2013. There he was CFO & COO for the Swiss company, among others.

Ava women: Maja Rudinac | Chief Technology Officer
Today, more than 50’000 women have conceived thanks to Ava, the first and only FDA-cleared AI-driven fertility platform that includes the Ava bracelet, which is worn only at night. To support its mission of advancing women’s reproductive health and technological advancements, the startup has named Maja Rudinac as Chief Technology Officer. Rudinac brings to Ava more than 15 years of experience in designing and bringing to market AI and robotics-driven healthcare applications, including AI-enabled homes for safe senior living and autonomous healthcare systems for people with motion and cognitive restrictions. Prior to her role as VP of BD at Caspar.AI, she was co-founder and CEO of award-winning Robot Care Systems. Reporting directly to Ava CEO Lea von Bidder, she will enhance the integration with B2B partners through new product and feature development. Ava is aggressively expanding its technology offerings for payers and providers.

Crowdlitoken: Dadvan Yousuf CEO
Switzerland’s youngest self-made multi-millionaire Dadvan Yousuf has taken over leadership at Crowdlitoken, the blockchain platform allowing anyone to invest money in real estate from CHF 100, thus bridging the gap between classic direct and indirect investments. The 21-year old Yousuf has started trading cryptocurrencies at the age of 11. He founded the Dorhnii Foundation this year to pass on his knowledge - "Financial Education is a Human Right". With his digital expertise, a strong affinity for real estate, and zeal to democratize the real estate market, he will help Crowdlitoken gain new momentum in the next phase.
