The Wingman Campus Fund has added three early projects to its portfolio. Led by students at the ETH, EPFL and the University of St. Gallen, the presented solutions enable efficient remote work coordination, music production, and ultrafast data transmission.

Founded by Wingman Ventures, the Wingman Campus Fund helps selected teams from ETH Zurich, EPFL and HSG to accelerate their development. Every year, 15 startups get an opportunity to CHF 20000 investment and access to access to experienced mentors in Switzerland.

Together with the newly selected projects, the Fund’s portfolio has grown to six companies since its launch in 2021.

Enlightra –John Jost and Maxim Karpov, founded Enlightra as an EPFL spinoff providing photonics technology that enables ultrafast data transmission and processing. The startup promises to bring to the market a Microcomb-based technology that is 100 times faster and 10x more energy efficient than current solutions. Data centers use lasers to transmit information; however, they currently rely on single-color lasers, which cannot meet the demands for higher speeds and lower power consumption. Early this year, the startup entered the Y Combinator.

Vamoz– With its roots at the University of St. Gallen, Vamoz is a SaaS solution enabling temporary remote work abroad. The company achieves this by providing companies with a simple 3-step process to make remote work abroad legally transparent. This allows human resources managers to offer an integrated, seamless process to onboard, approve, and manage travel-bound employees. With the growing trend in remote work, the company has set the vision to inspire and facilitate employers who are reimagining traditional work-life – giving employees the opportunity to work temporarily from anywhere, and companies the chance to attract and retain top talent without facing uncontrollable legal and business risks. It is the first investment at the University of St. Gallen for the fund.

Samplab – Founded at ETH Zürich in 2020, Samplab developed an AI tool for easy and creative music production. With the vision of making music production easier, faster and more engaging, the company offers a desktop app as a plugin with a broad range of features.
