The next step in validating deeptech solutions

Daphne Technologies has built its first large-scale emission-reduction technology testing center at Ampegon, a market leader in radio-frequency amplifiers and high-voltage and high-current power systems. Daphne’s Mechanical Design Engineer, Anders Olsson, with the help of Sweden’s RPS AB built a 500 kW cartridge, which is an essential component of Daphne’s core technology designed to clean multiple forms of toxic pollution and GHG emissions. The 500 kW cartridge was tested with Daphne’s patented Wavelet Pulsed Power (WPP) power supply jointly developed with Ampegon. The 500 kW cartridge and WPP power supply are currently being tested while Daphne and Ampegon prepare the next milestone of scaling up production.

Swiss sports car Piëch GT
The electric sports car Piëch GT by Piëch has entered the trial phase at the new test center near Memmingen in southern Germany. The battery and battery cell technology of the Piëch GT is one of the most vital components, thanks to the reliable charging concept. The Piëch GT can be charged to 80 percent capacity at any CCS2 fast-charging station in eight minutes. A fast charger specially developed by TGOOD enables this process to be completed in under five minutes. The compact and robust pouch cells enable easier thermal management and the targeted curb weight of less than 1,800 kilograms. The test phase follows the tried-and-tested testing cycles of German premium manufacturers,  with trials in heat and dust, in sub-zero temperatures with ice and snow, and on demanding roads and racetracks. Series production will start in 2024.

Voliro T robotic platform
Drone technology company Voliro entered a partnership with Aerodyne Group, the world’s leading drone services provider, and DT3 (Drone Technology, Data Technology, and Digital Transformation) company, to deploy cutting-edge aerial robotics for critical infrastructure inspection globally. The ETH Zurich spinoff specialises in advanced aerial robotics for inspection and maintenance of critical infrastructure. Aerodyne will receive an early adopter version of the Voliro T robotic platform to offer more services, gain priority in market entry and conduct first proof of concepts with their customers. The Voliro T can be equipped with a variety of sensors that perform contact/non-contact based measurements. The drone’s 360° flight design provides access to hard-to-reach areas on industrial plants, it is faster and with fewer risks than manual inspections.
