SwissGames Showcase to support eight studios

Initiated in 2020 by Pro Helvetia the SwissGames Showcase is an annual mentorship programme that offers independent Swiss game studios the opportunity to receive tailor-made coaching and get access to players in the game industry. An international jury reviewed applications from studios across Switzerland to select the most outstanding ones for the 2023 SwissGames Showcase. They will accompany the cohort throughout the programme by providing mentoring sessions and introducing the teams to their professional network. The studios will also participate in various international events throughout the year.

The selected studios in the SwissGames Showcase 2023 are:

knit’n’purl game studio
Pocket Oasis – a hand-painted gardening game with an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. Decorate balconies in cities around the globe and watch your seedlings grow, bloom, and harvest your own fruit. With an abundance of blooming plants, you can create your own Pocket Oasis.

Looping
Crow’s Nest – Players immerse themselves in the role of an air traffic controller. They explore airports worldwide and manage incoming traffic.

Mac n Cheese Games
Munch – founded by three co-founders, Munch takes place in a medieval time. An alchemical accident causes mutations to outpace evolution in the animal kingdom. Control a small innocent creature in a new fight for dominance, eating your way up the food chain to mutate new abilities and grow into the ultimate apex predator.

Momento Games
Flying Legends – is a competitive sport-based video game where two teams challenge each other to score by kicking the ball into the opposite team goal.

Studio ZB
Truth Detectives — a very serious game – the player acts as an investigator to put all pieces of the puzzle together to solve a challenge.  

Surprised Turtle Studios
Seven Dwarfs: Legends Untold – is a co-op action roguelike game for up to four players with seven unique characters and a wide range of upgrades that build the characters as the players face hordes of enemies in fast-paced combat.

Team Kerzoven
Circle of Kerzoven – take the role of a leader, delegated to build new settlements in remote corners of the empire. In places where nature is wild and legends are more alive than we may think. Experience the challenges of different seasons and climates in a world, where every animal and every plant tries to survive, while you lead your villagers.

Vizar Technologies
LightClash AR – is the world’s first multiplayer AR Sci-Fi game for smartphones.
