Medica

The upcoming Medica trade fair 2022 takes place from November 14-17 in Düsseldorf with over a dozen Swiss startups presenting their solutions. Innosuisse is supporting 11 participants.

Medica is the world’s largest event for the medical industry, hosting over 46’000 visitors from 150 countries. Last year the trade fair saw 3,523 international exhibitors present the latest medical devices. Switzerland is one of the strongest medtech hubs in the world. The sector, which employs a good 63,000 staff, generates two-thirds of its turnover abroad. It is therefore not surprising that Switzerland is very present at Medica. This is especially true for start-ups. The Swiss Pavilion in the Medica Startup Park is always very prominent. This year will be no exception. 14 Swiss startups will be exhibiting at the pavilion. This means that Switzerland accounts for no less than a third of the total number of companies in this area of the fair. Innosuisse has confirmed to support 11 startups that will present their solutions in the Medica Startup Park. The startups offer medical devices and digital tools to transform the medical and healthcare systems in various fields.

However, the startups at the Startup Park are not the only Swiss companies exhibiting at the fair. There is a second Swiss Pavillon with mostly SME organised by Swiss Medtech and several single start-ups companies at other booths.

The eleven startups supported by Innosuisse include:
