Despite supply chain disruptions and other pandemic challenges, Swiss manufacturing solution OEM 9T Labs sees growing interest in its hybrid system for structural carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites. To support this growing demand, the ETH Spinoff is expanding outreach to the US with an office in Boston. The decision comes after its Series A funding round earlier this year, which raised $17-million USD to help further commercialise the 9T Labs Red Series® Additive Fusion Solution platform for the production of advanced continuous fibre-reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) composite parts. 9T Lab’s first office in the United States will provide US players in structural composites the opportunity to learn about and experience the Swiss company’s unique advancements in composite additive manufacturing. The first US team members will be signed in the coming weeks and trained at the company’s headquarters.
