In addition to its offices in Switzerland, the U.S., China, Flyability, the Ecublens-based company building indoor drone solutions to inspect and explore confined spaces, has opened an Asia-Pacific regional hub in Singapore.

By allowing drones to be used safely inside buildings, Flyability enables industrial companies and inspection professionals to reduce downtime, inspection costs, and risks to workers. With hundreds of customers in over 50 countries in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Maritime, Infrastructures & Utilities, and Public Safety, Flyability has pioneered and continues to lead the innovation in the commercial indoor drone space.

Following its success in expanding its U.S. presence by opening an office in Denver, USA in early 2020, the company has set foot in Singapore to support its growth in the years. The new office is located within Singapore’s CBD area, The Hive. It will serve as the center for Flyability’s activities in Asia-Pacific (APAC) to align more closely with its partners and customers in the region. Partnering with Viscoy, a specialist supplier of Remote Visual Inspection tools, the region will also have its own Center of Excellence (CoE) located in Singapore. This new hub aims to support industries across the region in areas such as training and upskilling its partners and customers in enabling safer and cost-effective inspection using indoor drones.

“Singapore’s capability as a global innovation hub with advanced technological and digital infrastructure was a key factor in our decision to make it the center of our Asia-Pacific regional hub,” said Patrick Thévoz, co-founder and CEO of Flyability. “With our presence here, we aim to support the organization’s growth and provide best-in-class service to our partners and customers. With offices in Switzerland, the U.S., China, and now Singapore, we truly are a global company, providing internal inspection solutions that help keep people safe throughout the world.”

“We already have a significant presence in APAC,” said Niels Delore, General Manager of APAC for Flyability. “By having a team here, we hope to strengthen our relationship with our partners and customers while building inroads to new markets that we are excited to explore. We are grateful for the support from the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Singapore, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce Singapore, the Swiss Business Hub (SBH), the Swiss Embassy, and OneHR Singapore in supporting us to establish our presence here in this region”.
