The Swiss Finance + Technology Association (SFTA) is hosting the third Swiss Fintech Pitch on 11 October at the Landesmuseum in Zurich. The event brings together FinTech entrepreneurs with investors, corporate clients, and the media. Five startups and five investors will present their companies. The best startup will receive an award. Registration closes on 6 October.

Swiss FinTech Pitch is an annual event for the best Swiss fintech startups in Switzerland. The event offers a platform to investors to meet the best Swiss fintech startups and helps startups improve their businesses and raise funds. The previous events have been successful leading to investments and partnerships between.

In the previous event, for instance, the startup NetGuardians won the pitching contest and has since then reached a number of milestones with companies that participated in the event. Mine Fornerod who presented at the event says: “We won Swiss FinTechReverse Pitch, which eventually led to our successful Series C Funding – a total of CHF8.5 million – and a very promising partnership with Swisscom. The format worked perfectly as a match-making event and everything took off from there.”

This year again, the SFTA is providing the stage to five startups and investors to showcase their companies. The event will start with 1on1 matching in the morning followed by presentations in the afternoon.

First on stage are investors and companies who will present their offers to startups and how they add value for entrepreneurs. Investors and companies interested in presenting at the event are invited to submit their application using the provided application form.

Likewise, five selected startups have the opportunity to present their cases to the judges and the audience, in board room style dialogue about fundraising goals and their performance, opportunities, challenges among others. They will get feedback as well as benefit from local and international media coverage, exposure to leading investors, and access to top corporate partners.Startups are invited to submit their application.

Following their presentations, investors will judge startups and vice versa. The audience will also have the opportunity to vote for their best investor and startup. The best startup will be announced and awarded.

Registration closes on 6 October 2017.
