Konduko closed a deal in Dubai. The start-up has signed a two-year extension of its partnership with Informa Middle East. Konduko will integrate its Smart Event platform into the 2018 and 2019 Middle East Electricity and Agra Middle East shows. This collaboration moves the agreement out of the trial phase and into full roll-out.

Konduko is a provider of activity-based proximity technologies designed for the trade show industry. Today the startup has announced the expansion of its collaboration agreement with Informa Middle East for the next to years.

The agreement will see more than 1,880 exhibiting companies and 30,000 visitors across the two events interact using Konduko’s proximity-based engagement tools, including smart badges, content delivery readers, and the companion lead capture StandApp. With the technology available to every participant via their smart badge, visitors are able to seamlessly exchange information with exhibitors, via Konduko’s cloud-based platform.

Anita Mathews, Group Director, Industrial Group at Informa Middle East sees the Konduko platform as a tool that drives value to every participant in the event show value chain. “We're very excited about this partnership, and the benefits it will continue to bring to both our visitors and exhibitors over the next two years. Fitting in perfectly with our on-going strategy to provide a more robust offering of digital products and value-added benefits to our stakeholders, the Konduko system, along with the newly launched StandApp, puts us ahead of the curve in terms of digital content delivery and lead retrieval for attendees to both Middle East Electricity and AgraME,” Mathews said.

Konduko CEO, Matt Harris, says the extension of the relationship with Informa points is a strong vote of confidence in the smart event concept. "Informa are one of the great innovators in this industry, willing to try new things and look at ways they can demonstrably improve the trade show experience for visitors and exhibitors. What started with a trial a couple of years ago has now moved into a fully fledged partnership that’s transforming MEE and AgraME into the smart events of the future. These kinds of long-term partnerships are a great vote of confidence in what we do, and, along with our friends at Info Salons, we’re incredibly gratified to be working with Informa to bring Konduko to the Middle East,” Harris said.

Thanks to powerful proximity technologies and cloud-based capture of engagement interactions, the Konduko platform also generates rich data from the event floor. Wilbert Heijmans, Managing Director MENAT region of Info Salons, agrees with industry leaders that data is the new oil for trade show organisers. “Smart events generate incredibly deep data – from where people went, what they liked the most, visited the least, places they went back to the next day and so on. The analytics we pull from this data is helping event organisers like Informa learn in real-time, as well as giving them the insights and intelligence they need to build better events and experiences for the future,” Heijmans said.
