Genohm’s client base continues to grow

The community of clients using SLIMS, Genohm’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) platform, has continued to grow. Genohm, a Lausanne based startup specialising in bio-informatics, has welcomed five new clients from different countries.

Genohm developed a platform to support the ever-increasing complexity of handling, analyzing and understanding biological data. With their core product, Slims, the startup has suuceed in accommodating these processes. SLims provides laboratories with one integrated LIMS+ELN environment that tracks data and samples from the original sample shipment down to the result from lab machines and in-silico analysis pipelines. SLims fully accommodates the needs of any research lab, next-generation sequencing lab, service facility, biobank or QC lab.

Thanks to their solution, Genohm has continued to attract several clients. Recently, the startup signed five new clients from different countries. The new clients differ in sizes and sectors of activity, however, they all believe that SLIMS will solve their needs in terms of laboratory management. These include:

Microsynth, which was launched in 1989, is headquartered in Switzerland and is also present in Germany and Austria. The company has become a European leader in offering services related to DNA and RNA, namely oligo synthesis, analyses and sequencing as well as contract research and outsourcing. Microsynth is ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 certified.

AgroSavfe is located at the BioIncubator in Gent, Belgium. Established in 2013, the company focuses on developing biological molecules to protect crop from pests and diseases. It aims at developing the next generation of biological control agents.

Belonging to the University of Porto in Portugal, the Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology, IBMC, operates in the health sector through CGPP, its Center for Preventive and Predictive Genetics. The center offers services in the areas of genetic testing and counseling, medical genetics and others. CGPP is ISO 15189 certified and performs a number of EMQN quality assessments.

The Nucleomics Core is a facility of the Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie, VIB and is located in Leuven, Belgium. The facility was started in 1999, as a service facility to provide expression analysis. Today, Nucleomics Core has evolved to provide DNA and RNA analyses, sequencing and bioinformatics services at the cutting edge of technology.

GliaPharm is biotech company located at the Campus Biotech in Geneva, Switzerland. The company develops innovative approaches to tackle neurological and psychiatric diseases based on brain metabolism and glial cell biology.

Genohm has released a video giving an overview of the SLIMS platform and how it works. Besides, the ELN, the video presents some routine modules such as content, order, and workflow management showing how various crucial elements of the clients’ data are handled, such as locations, custom views, actions, and automation in one click among others.
