F Ective qualified in the finals of the EY Start-up Academy

F ECTIVE is a platform for smart matching freelancers, consulting firm talents and the company's employees to projects in real-time. This on-demand workforce saves companies time and money, whilst supporting workers in finding their purpose and advance their careers.

During the selection process for the finalists of the EY Startup Academy, F ECTIVE was recognised as an innovative start-up with the potential to transform workforce management and the future of work. As a result, the startup was nominated to the finals of the 2017 EY Startup Academy. The startup team will join the program to further develop their platform and benefit from the wide range of offers provided by the pogram organisers.

“We are looking forward to gaining knowledge and support from some of Europe’s top business leaders, building strong connections with investors, as well networking with like-minded young start-ups”, say Troy Rodger, CMO of F Ective.

Six other startups including four from Germany, one Sweden and one Morocco, were selected to for the 2017 batch.

“We are very pleased with the high response to our start-up academy, and we congratulate the seven companies who have made it to the final,” commented Christopher Schmitz, EY partner and curator of the start-up academy. “Future technologies are playing an increasingly important role in value creation in Germany. It is very gratifying to see how young, smart minds and creative companies are taking this technological advance”.

The seven founders will join EY’s three-month program at the EY start-up academy as of 14 September 2017. At around 30 events, they will meet investors, representatives of banks and start-up experts. In workshops, trainings and individual talks, the young entrepreneurs will cover some of the important topics such as business planning and corporate management, financing and promotion, corporate and tax law as well as regulatory and IT.

As part of the three-month program, participants compete against each other in the competition "EY-Start-up-Academy-Award". The winner, who best represents innovative FinTech ideas and founder spirit, will be awarded at the end of the Academy Award.

The EY start-up academy is implemented with the cooperation partners TechQuartier and Deutsche Börse: the TechQuartier provides the participating start-ups with two jobs in order to ensure an intensive transfer of knowledge. Deutsche Börse also contributes its expertise in the areas of IPO and the Deutsche Börse Venture Network, a platform that brings start-ups together with international investors.
