The application deadline for the long-established award from the WA de Vigier Foundation is at the end of September – ambitious start-ups should not miss this date. Winners will receive 5 times CHF 100’000. In addition winners and nominees get access to an excellent network and can take part in the alumni events of the foundation.

The award for young entrepreneurs presented by the Solothurn-based WA de Vigier Foundation is one of the renowned awards for start-up companies in Switzerland. Each year, the foundation honours five start-up companies that have potential for growth with 100,000 francs each.

Apart from the prize money the five winners and five nominees will get access to the densely woven network of the foundation, which in addition to the active and previous trustees, also encompasses numerous experts, as well as the professors who act as ambassadors for the foundation at universities and other tertiary institutions in Switzerland. “The access to our network,” says Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier, managing director of the foundation, “alongside the prize money and the reputation boost, is the third key benefit that we can offer our winners, but also the nominees.”

In addition winners and nominees are invited to alumni events where they can benefit from the knowledge of experienced speakers and where winners provide detailed information about the story of their start-ups. At the last event which was held End of August Hans Oury spoke about recruiting and assessing the skills of a start-up team. His talk was followed by one of the former Aïmago CEO Michael Friedrich. The serial entrepreneur spoke about his personal experiences and learnings with the Exit of Aïmago.

Start-up founders who want to win CHF 100’000 and to join the exclusive alumni club of the WA de Vigier foundation can apply for the award until 30 September.
