The Swiss investor landscape is quite complicated. Recently several organisations, start-ups and experienced founders have published blog posts, guides, lists and a map to help founders with attracting investors.

As founder and former CEO of Mitipi Julian Stylianou knows first hand how hard it can be to find investors and how start-ups can manage this anyway. In his guide “How to get funding in Switzerland” which he wrote for the Swiss Startup Association he has summarized his knowledge and experiences.

In addition the Swiss Startup Association has published a list of active Swiss investors. Some of them have used the opportunity to provide information about their focus and how to approach them.

Several other lists of investors exist already, for example on startup.ch, on the website of Seca and of course on Startupticker.ch. In our directory you will find in every investor profile the links to announced investments. In addition, Startup INVEST operates the virtual matchmacking platform Startup Matcher to connect startups and investors.

The start-up Leva has given an overview of the active investors in form of a map with logos.

Pascal König, the former CEO of Ava, is another start-up founder with a lot of experience. Together with Patrik Huber and Daniel Adamec he launched Fundraising Ally. The platform offers free content including a step by step guideline of the fundraising phases to follow and a page with links to other resources.

If a start-up finds investors and has success sooner or later the topic of selling the companies arises. Madiha Derouazi sold Amal Therapeutics to Boehringer Ingelheim last year and gave an insightful keynote Venturelab’s Top 100 event. A summary and the video of the talk has been published by Venturelab.
